I ordered 30 Peonies for a friend, costing over $250! They arrived golf-ball size in a tiny glass container that was obviously way too small. The died the next day!
I had previously ordered from Ode a la Rose and was very pleased, but, this time it was a humiliating experience! Never again!
Do not ever buy. Flowers were received in horrible condition. Petals were wilted/fallen off and mold was found on the stems. Its been a month since my refund request and I still have yet to receive it. Terrible customer service.
Pretty happy with the bouquet we received. The only con is that the flowers seem to be cut at very different stages, so some flowers are wilted by the times’ others are just opening. Regardless, the delivery went very smoothly and the flowers were not damaged when they arrived.

This place came highly recommended by a longtime corporate client. When I was unable to reach them by phone, I placed an order online. The bouquet they sent looked nothing like the image on the website or instagram. The 20 stems consisted of 9 leafy greens and 11 small, pathetic-looking flowers. The delivery person left it in front of my loved one’s mailbox in the lobby of her building rather than delivering it to the apartment. I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed by the poor quality of the arrangement and the substandard delivery.
I ordered two bouquets which were both pricey, but i was willing to pay for what was advertised – sadly, reality fell so far short!! the pictures advertised looked nothing like what they delivered- only half of the stems that I paid for were delivered and only partially alive, at that. sadly, I could have fared better with a grocery store arrangement.
Wonderful experience ordering online, the flowers delivered were exactly as pictured and of high quality. The second photo is four days later, still blooming beautifully. They even sent out an update email right before shipping to show what the bouquet looked like. Highly recommend ode de la rose!
Received my order of 40 peonies today, over a week late. All the peonies were completely dead, but the note reading “I think you are great” was perfectly printed.
Really disappointed. I used them instead of the typical 1800Flowers thinking their flowers would stand out. I saw the flowers after they arrived and they seemed dry, didn’t pop at all like the images, and quite honestly – I’ve ordered flowers from 1800flowers that looked significantly better than these. I paid for more believing I would be getting more and hoping to have a new florist as a go-to for special occasions. Never again.
Very satisfied with the quality of the flowers from Ode a la Rose. I order flowers a lot and this is the first time the recipient called me several days later after the initial thank you call and said don’t know where you ordered from but these flowers are gorgeous!!!! Thank you for being a quality florist that really delivers what you see on the web site.
BEWARE!!! This is a scam!!! I spent almost $200 And ordered a large (27 stem) bouquet and they sent a small bouquet. They took a photo and it was in the box so I couldn’t see how big it was. My daughter sent me a photo, it had 16 stems- I asked her to count bc it looked too small. When I called the NYC store the guy argued with me over how many stems were sent!! Chutzpah!! No apology, no admitting they made a mistake. I think it was on purpose. I called my Amex and am disputing the charge. He said he would give me a refund but I don’t trust them AT ALL!!

For more than 8 years, this flower shop has been in business. They invest in flowers that are really loved by people and not just what is at their disposal. All arrangements and bouquets are assembled by hand and then go through a quality assurance process step by step to ensure that every stem is just as beautiful. So, if you’re going to make an order, you don’t have to worry, I can assure you of the quality.
Very bad quality , pictures for second day of delivery … we sent pic to them and they told us we have 30% for our next delivery … of course we don’t want a next delivery for two days rotten and expensive roses
Great experience, especially from afar. We sent a small arrangement to friends who hosted us for a weekend. Prompt service and confirmation, delivery made when stated, and a complimentary photo of the exact arrangement was sent to me ahead of time to confirm. GREAT way to run a business. Would use again.

My sister loved her flowers but it’s very pricey. About $100 for dozen roses plus you have to buy a vase separately.

In January, my mother received a GORGEOUS bouquet of roses. They were truly the most magnificent roses we’d ever seen. Fragrant, bright in color, fresh and beautifully arranged in a vase. Everyday, I would take a picture of them and send it to my best friend (who sent them) to show her just how amazing they were. I cut the ends every day as well, (1/4 inch) and put them back in fresh water. They lasted exactly one week.
Growing up in NYC and having received many a bouquet of roses over the years, never have they ever been so fresh and lovely. I sent my mother a bouquet for her birthday….they were just perfection!

I purchased two dozen roses for my anniversary and had sent, same day delivery to my girlfriends job and I have to say they were absolutely stunning. 7 days later and they are still alive and healthy and still as beautiful as ever. I found this site on the web, as it was near the ultimate destination for the flowers. They had exactly what I wanted, beautiful roses in a sleek vase. The checkout process was seamless, the delivery options were clear, with times frames that met my needs. Ode de la Rose’s bouquets are elegant and ‘just right’ for so many occasions! It’s great to know exactly what you’re getting despite ordering online. I sent a bouquet of perfect yellow roses to a hostess to thank her for her cocktail party, and surprised my young daughter with a happy, colorful winter flower bouquet to celebrate a recent success she had at a competition. (I was able to add a photo to my card for this, which was fantastic! Made it very personal.) Overall the service of this company does give you the sense of a neighborhood boutique that caters to your personal needs while actually being online, simple, fast and totally reliable. Love it!!

I have used Ode a la Rose before very successfully for a gift delivery of beautiful flowers. With my second order there was a delivery issue (unfortunately these things happen), but this was addressed by the wonderfully helpful James at customer service!

Yesterday, a Saturday morning, I was searching online for a florist in New York, that could deliver a flower arrangement that same day, to my daughter. I called their shop, and their employee was extremely helpful, and guaranteed me that the flowers would be delivered that afternoon. Ode a La Rose delivered an adorable bouquet, with high end roses, in a chic shopping bag. You can see that they are committed to top customer service, high quality flowers and chic/modern arrangements. I absolutely recommend their shop, and I’ll use them again in the future!
The flowers were ‘exquisite’ to use the word of my brother, the gift recipient. The packaging perfect and the delivery right on time. He loved the special touch of the macaroons. And seeing a photo before delivered makes it almost like selecting arrangement in person.

Thankful for the other reviewers. Had two great deliveries so far. They send you a picture of the gift as it goes out along with many other updates to keep you posted and assured. I really don’t write many reviews because I don’t have great experiences like this often.
The only problem to be wary of is the inability to make line breaks in the greeting cards. All of the font is centered so be careful if you are trying to do the most and put a poem in there with creative line breaks. Keep it simple. 5 stars because I contacted customer service on a Saturday morning and they told me it would be fixed within minutes. It wasn’t fixed but my sense it is clearly out of their hands and honestly it is a minor thing given that they’re not a greeting card delivery service. That said, fixing the printer will make me go insane for this company. 🙂
If you are looking for quality flowers to be delivered with style then Ode a la Rose would be my recommendation. The flowers are top notched but the extras are what make this florist cool.
You can add a photo to the delivery package – just upload it and they print it out and add it to the box – a very nice touch if you are creative with the choice of pics – great to use an old pic of your significant other on anniversaries etc

I ordered 18 peonies for a sweet angel who’s down a lot for me, and I have to say they were amazing. I couldn’t have asked for better. She received very tight beautiful buds and they bloomed into the most incredible peonies. This is my place from now on. The quality is astounding.
My brother and I go every Sunday and get fresh flowers. It smells heavenly, it’s crowded, but within a half hour we have fresh flowers, usually some pastries, and the week is that much brighter.

I’m an Italian guy and I wanted to make a gift to my girlfriend who currently lives in NYC, so I opted for a classic roses bouquet. The delivery was right in time, the packaging was awesome (there was a beautiful orange rose even outside the box) and very professional, but most of all the bouquet was perfect and it was really appreciated! Fantastic customer service as I was sent the photo of the bouquet before the delivery by mail, and even the confirmation of the delivery, always by mail. This florist went over and beyond my expectations!! I am from out of state and ordered flowers for my daughters birthday. The arrangement was beautiful! The floral shop was so accommodating and responsive. A snow storm developed the day of delivery but they still delivered the arrangement, sent a photo before delivery and sent an email after delivery verifying delivery. I will Definitely use this florist for all NYC orders.

Very professional. I have made new friends in New-York and would like to show a small token of my appreciation, however my flight back to Texas didn’t allow me time to give flowers. Once I landed I ordered flowers from this website to be sent the next day. One word can explain my experience with them profession. I got a email confirmation after payment, then once they sent out my flowers they sent a picture of the bouquet flowers that they were sending. I found that very helpful, because I wouldn’t be able to see them. I recommend this services to anyone
